Christmas Letter

Merry Christmas!

Oh, me, my, Miss Moses, as my Granny Lura would say, it’s Christmas time again!  Our stockings are hung out on the cap rack, with care of course, and we are sitting back in our recliners posting on Facebook, reading spam emails and just waiting to watch old Santa come down our chimney!  Now THAT would be a sight since there is about six inches of space at top of the only ones not capped.  When this house was built in 1904, I don’t think Santa was as fat as he is now.
Well, anyway, I digress.  It is Christmas and the open house is over with enough leftover cookies and candy to send us into sugar overload.  Klep has kindly suggested that I might want to throw a Christmas letter together which I am now, obviously, doing.

As the year draws to a close, we have decided that we are basically about 26 and 27 years old even though our bodies don't agree with us.  We've enjoyed living through this year and a lot of our enjoyment has come from the simple days like the one we spent at St. Marks Wildlife Preserve with Rob and Traci,
the times we've spent in South Carolina with Kevin, Reagan, Ava Grace
and Leila Kate,
our suppers with John, Pam, and the boys, the visits from Anne, the time spent in church activities, and the trips to Tennessee
to visit with family and friends.  One incredibly wonderful day was spent in Winegar Hollow during a beautiful six inch snow fall.

We've had a few dreams come true including our trip to Ireland and England in late summer.  I think that part of our hearts are still there!

Cousins Betty and Donna hosted all us Jackson cousins at their B & B in Mayo which is always fun!
After enduring the forever experience that was the Presidential race, it was wonderful to be given the gift of the super moon to remind us that there are wonders that are great and beautiful.

Thanksgiving was a huge family celebration in Greer surrounded by our family and being much overfed.
We've had an active year at our church and are enjoying the Christmas activities with the children's program
and our choir cantata.  Now we anticipate the Christmas Eve Candlelight Service and the special Christmas Day Service.
As the end of the year comes, we're filled with thankfulness for the richness of the Lord's blessings.  Our family, our friends, and all those wonderful people that we have encountered on our journey through the years have made our life rich and full as we have enjoyed our lives together.
We pray for all of you, the words of Tiny Tim, "God bless us everyone!"
Love to all,
Klep and Barbara
